Imagine you’ve just landed in Barcelona. Your suitcase has finally appeared on the belt, and you’re ready to reach your hotel. Before leaving home, you booked a private transfer. That part of the journey felt settled.

An illustrated arrival scene.
Now the arrivals doors open. There are people waiting, drivers holding names and signs pointing in different directions. You slow down, look across the hall and wonder: where is the person who is supposed to meet me?
You take out your phone and open the booking confirmation. Do you stay here? Walk outside? Find the taxi rank? With your luggage beside you, you start looking for a meeting point you can recognize.
A familiar moment in the arrivals hall
It is a scene that came to mind as we studied customer reviews of other transfer companies. Some travelers described searching for their driver, making repeated calls or wondering whether a pickup change had reached the person collecting them. Different journeys, but a familiar frustration: arriving somewhere new and not knowing where to go or whom to contact.
Reading those experiences, you can picture the moment: luggage beside you, phone in hand, looking from your confirmation to the faces across the hall. You have already booked the ride. Now you just want to find the person taking you there.
You find a place to head towards
Back in the arrivals hall, your Silicondrop booking confirms a Terminal 1 pickup by the Como Shop. You scroll to the meeting instructions. There is a place to look for now, rather than a whole terminal to search.
Inside Terminal 1 arrivals hall, by the Como Shop. Stay inside the terminal.
You have come through the arrivals doors into the public hall, but you are still inside the airport building. You look for the large COMO sign, the timber panels and the hanging greenery. You leave the signs for the outdoor taxi rank behind and walk towards the shop.

You send a quick message
As you reach the shop, you check your phone again. Perhaps you cannot spot your driver yet. Rather than setting off to another part of the airport, you open WhatsApp and type: “We have our bags. We’re inside by Como.”
Your assigned driver has the contact number you provided with the booking, so they can reach you about the pickup. You also have the Silicondrop team’s WhatsApp number, +34 640 723 259, saved on your phone.
If you are unsure whether you have found the right spot, you can send your booking reference and a photo of the sign nearby. You have something specific to describe now: where you are standing and what you can see.

Perhaps your mobile data is taking a while to connect. The instructions you saved before flying are still there, along with the phone number. If WhatsApp is unavailable and you can make a call, you can reach us on +34 640 723 259. When booking, use a number you can access while traveling, including its country code.
Then you see your name
You look up by the Como Shop and recognize your name on the driver’s phone. You say hello. Together, you confirm your booking name and destination before heading towards the vehicle.
A few minutes ago, your attention was on signs, doors and unfamiliar faces. Now the conversation turns to where you are going. Perhaps it is your hotel and a first walk around the city. Perhaps it is the cruise ship you have been looking forward to boarding.
Whether you booked a private transfer from Barcelona Airport to your hotel or a Barcelona airport to cruise port transfer, this is the moment when the search ends and the next part of your trip begins.
The details you settled before leaving home
Think back to when you were comparing a Barcelona taxi with a pre-booked private transfer. You entered your passengers and luggage, added any child seats, and saw the price before payment. Those details are in your confirmation, ready to check before you travel.
Silicondrop works with licensed local taxis for private transfers, with the vehicle booked for your group. If your flight is delayed, our promise remains: No extra charge for flight delays.
Before you picture your own arrival
This story follows a confirmed Terminal 1 Como pickup. Your own confirmation is the one to follow. If you land at Terminal 2, the meeting instructions are different; do not travel to Terminal 1 to follow this guide.
If anything is unclear before you fly, send us a message. Then, when those arrivals doors open, you can look for a place you already know.
Your pickup, our responsibility.
