Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

1. Who we are

Silicondrop is a licensed taxi transfer service operated by Ahmad Hassan, Cristobal de Moura 213, Barcelona, Spain, who is responsible (the data controller) for the personal data described in this policy. Contact: support@silicondrop.com

2. What data we collect

When you make a booking we collect: your name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, travel details (flight number, ship name, pickup/drop-off address, date and time) and payment information. Payment card data is processed exclusively by Stripe and is never stored by Silicondrop.

When you apply to our partner pilot we collect the business and contact details you submit, including company, contact name, work email, phone, country, business type, website, expected transfer volume and any notes you choose to provide.

3. How we use your data

We use booking information to fulfil your transfer, communicate before and during it, and send your payment receipt. We use partner-application information to assess the requested business relationship, contact the applicant and, if approved, operate and reconcile the manual partner arrangement. The legal bases are taking requested pre-contractual steps, performing the resulting agreement and our legitimate interest in operating the service. We do not use this data for unrelated marketing without consent.

4. Data sharing

To operate the service, relevant booking or partner-application details are processed by a small number of providers: Stripe Inc. (payment processing), Resend Inc. (transactional email and partner-application notifications), Cloudflare Inc. (website hosting and data storage), and Google LLC (address search suggestions and the analytics and advertising measurement described below). We and your driver may contact you by WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd, part of Meta) about your transfer. Your driver, who may be an independent licensed driver working with us, receives only the details needed to perform your transfer. Some providers are based in the United States or process data outside the European Economic Area; those transfers rely on GDPR safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with any third party for their own commercial purposes.

5. Data retention

Booking records are kept for as long as Spanish tax and accounting law requires (currently up to 6 years), then deleted. Partner applications that do not become active arrangements are kept for a maximum of 12 months after the last correspondence. Records needed for an approved partner arrangement are kept while it is active and afterwards for as long as Spanish tax and accounting law requires, then deleted.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. To use these rights, email support@silicondrop.com and we will respond within one month, usually much sooner. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).

7. Unfinished booking details

To help you continue after a refresh or a return from secure payment, we save your unfinished route, travel and contact details in this tab’s session storage. A draft is available to restore for up to 2 hours after its latest update. We clear it when your booking or request is completed, or when you choose Start fresh or Clear them. Expired drafts are discarded when the website next reads them.

This temporary draft stays in your browser and contains no payment card details. Recovery is best effort: your browser’s privacy settings, storage limits or closing the tab may make it unavailable. Submitted bookings and requests are stored separately as described above.

8. Cookies and website analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to our public pages, traffic sources and the booking journey, including confirmed purchases. Analytics starts only after you accept measurement cookies. A confirmed purchase includes its booking reference, total value, currency and whether it is a one-way or return journey. We remove private URL parameters and fragments; only recognised Google advertising click identifiers and approved campaign labels are retained for attribution. Referring addresses are limited to the website origin. Payment handoffs and returns can report checkout or confirmed purchase events, but do not generate page views. We do not measure our internal booking tools, or send customer names, contact details or travel addresses. Automatic form and outbound-link measurement is disabled.

This site uses Google Ads conversion measurement (the Google tag) to understand the stages of the booking journey: landing-page visits, prices shown, booking forms started, secure checkouts opened, and completed paid bookings. Paid conversion events include the booking reference, value and currency so duplicate confirmations can be recognised. These measurements may use advertising-related cookies to attribute those actions to an ad. We use the information to assess and improve our advertising and booking experience; Silicondrop does not use it to build its own profiles of individual visitors.

Measurement cookies are denied by default. The site asks whether you want to allow them and communicates your choice to Google through Consent Mode. If you decline, the booking service remains fully functional. Google may receive limited cookieless measurement signals, without advertising or analytics cookie storage, to provide aggregate reporting. Stripe may set cookies required for payment security and fraud prevention during checkout.

We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic, including pages visited, referral sources and device/browser information. This service works without analytics cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. We use public page paths for this measurement and do not start this tracker on payment-return URLs containing booking identifiers. Learn how Ahrefs Web Analytics works.
